Deep in the Whispering Woods lived a little fox named Finn. Finn had the most magnificent bushy tail in the whole forest — bright orange with a white tip — but he had one big problem. Finn was afraid of the dark.
Every evening, when the sun dipped behind the mountains and the forest grew shadowy, Finn would hurry home and hide under his cozy blanket. His friends, the rabbits and the deer, would play moonlit games without him, and Finn would listen sadly from his den.
One night, Finn heard a tiny voice crying near the big oak tree. It was his friend Rosie the rabbit, stuck in a tangle of brambles.
"Help!" Rosie called. "I'm trapped!"
Finn peeked out of his den. The forest was dark. Very dark. His heart thumped. But Rosie needed him.
Taking a deep breath, Finn stepped into the night. He noticed something wonderful — the moon was casting a soft silver glow on every leaf and petal. The forest wasn't scary at all. It was beautiful.
Finn carefully untangled Rosie from the brambles. She hugged him tight.
"You're the bravest fox I know," she whispered.
From that night on, Finn joined his friends under the stars every evening. He had discovered something important: courage doesn't mean you're not afraid. It means you go anyway — especially for the ones you love.
