Sam's friend Milo had a sore leg today.
Milo walked very slowly. Sam usually ran everywhere.
But today, Sam walked slowly too.
"You don't have to," said Milo.
"I know," said Sam. "I want to."
They walked slowly past the pond. They stopped to watch a frog. They watched a dragonfly hover over the water.
"I never usually see the dragonfly," said Sam. "I always run past too fast."
Milo smiled.
By the time they got to the park, Sam had seen three frogs, two dragonflies, a heron, and one very surprised squirrel.
"Slow is actually pretty good," said Sam.
Milo laughed. "I know," he said. "I always thought so."
