High above the world, where the sky is very dark and very quiet, lived a little star named Starlight.

Starlight had an important job. Every night, when children got into their warm beds and closed their sleepy eyes, Starlight would tiptoe across the sky and sprinkle tiny golden dreams over the rooftops.

Sweet dreams of puppies and butterflies, of birthday cake and bubble baths, of flying through clouds and swimming with fish — all the very best dreams.

One night, Starlight felt tired. Her little light flickered.

"Don't worry," said the Moon in his big, round, gentle voice. "I'll shine extra bright tonight while you rest."

Starlight smiled and curled up on a fluffy cloud. The Moon glowed warm and steady across the whole world.

And do you know what? That night, every single child had the most wonderful dream they had ever dreamed.

Now close your eyes, little one. Starlight is coming. Your dream is almost ready.

Goodnight.
