KidsStoryteller.ai ("we", "us", "our") is an AI-powered text-to-speech and story video generation service. Our website is kidsstoryteller.ai. You can contact us at hello@kidsstoryteller.ai.
2. What data we collect
Account data
When you create an account, we collect your email address and name via Clerk, our authentication provider. We do not store your password — authentication is handled entirely by Clerk.
Usage data
We log the number of characters you generate and the voice you use. This is used solely to enforce your plan's monthly character limit and to display your usage in your dashboard. We do not store the full text of your stories beyond what is needed to display your generation history.
Payment data
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details. We store only your Stripe customer ID and subscription status.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how users interact with our site (pages visited, features used). This data is anonymised and aggregated. No personally identifiable information is shared with Google Analytics.
Cookies
We use cookies for authentication (Clerk session cookies) and analytics (Google Analytics). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
3. How we use your data
- To provide and improve the service
- To enforce plan limits and billing
- To send transactional emails (welcome, usage alerts, receipts) via Resend
- To respond to support requests
We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties except as described in this policy.
4. Data retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Usage logs are retained for 12 months. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing hello@kidsstoryteller.ai.
5. Your rights (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to processing of your data
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format

6. Children's privacy
KidsStoryteller.ai is a tool for parents, teachers, and content creators — not a service directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, please contact us immediately.
