Questions people ask

Is there really no character limit?

Really. On paid plans a single story can be any length — 50,000, 300,000, even a whole book. Texts past ~20,000 characters are narrated as a background job (chunked, then stitched into one seamless MP3), so nothing times out and nothing gets cut. Your plan's monthly character allowance is the only boundary.

How long can the audio get?

About 25,000 characters becomes roughly 30 minutes of narration — so a 300,000-character book is around 6 hours of audio, delivered as one MP3 you can download and keep.

Which voices can read long texts?

All 50 voices, including the 12 real child voices, in 15+ languages. The same voice reads the entire text — no mid-book voice changes.

Does the API have the same unlimited length?

Yes. POST /api/v1/tts accepts up to 1,000,000 characters: short texts return audio directly, long texts return a job you poll for the finished MP3. Billing is simply 1 credit per 1,000 characters.

How does this compare to ElevenLabs and other TTS tools?

Most TTS tools cap each request (commonly 5,000–40,000 characters) and make you split long texts yourself, then stitch the audio. Here you paste once and get one continuous file — the chunking, stitching and levelling happen for you.
